The free-size alumina ceramic plates are high-quality ceramic plates of 0.9mm thick that can be decorated with porcelain arts. Alumina plates of 2L-size (127x178 mm) supplied by a very famous Japanese ceramic company are cut into a rectangular shape according to the request of customers (free-size). The size in error is less than 0.5mm. Plate color is pure white due to high purity of the material. The plates have very flat surfaces with slight optical reflection. Optional processes such as rounding corners and plane-off edges make plates friendly to your hands. Surface quality will be markedly improved by covering with transparent overcoat decals that will be enclosed with the plates.

1) What is the utilities of alumina plates?
Alumina ceramic plates will be used for back-plates of iPhone and other smart phone cases. In these applications, they are attached either to the back of smart phone itself with a special peelable glue (elastic adhesive) or to smart phone cases with a normal glue. The alumina plates with high-strength do not break when dropped. As the dielectric loss of alumina ceramics is quite low, it does not absorb electromagnetic waves used for mobile communication. The alumina plates do not disturb operations of smart phones at all including mabile wallet. You can make hand-made your 'only-one' case to protect and decorate your smart phone.
You can also use the alumina ceramic plates for IC card cases, decoration tiles, substrate of ceramic photographs, decoration boards etc. Please note that the printing on alumina plate with ceramic decals never fade-out forever. We are also providing custom digital cerarmic decals at the lowest price.

2) How much?
Price of a plate determined by the area of plate, fundamental cutting fee and some optional process fees can be estimated as follows:

Material price will be discounted for large-area plates. The mamimum price of one plate will be 2,800 JPY (about $23.33) including material, fundamental cutting and optional processes except the formation of cemera holes.

 Material: Area of plate (mm2) / 10 = 112 x 60 / 10 = 670 JPY (about $5.83)
 Fundamental process (cutting): 800 JPY (about $6.67)

Peelable glue (elastic adhesive) for attaching alumina plate directly to the backside of smart phone. 1,200 JPY (about $10.00)

1. Transparent overcoat decal enclosed with an alumina plate is attached on the plate surface and fired at 800-850 degree C.
2. Decorate plate with porcelain arts using ceramic decals and/or hand-writing. If you like to use our custom digital ceramics decal, please select red-based decals with flux overcoat.
3. Paint side edges with ceramic pigments and fire them if you do not like to see white surface of alumina ceramic along the edges. Alumina plates are stable upto 1300 degree C and multiple firing does not damage the plates.
4. If you like to attach the plate directly on the back of smart phone, you have to use a peelable glue (elastic adhesive) shown below.
   
5. If you like to attach the plate on a smart phone case, you can use a glue that can be used for porcelains and plastics.
